BetMGM has been named the Associated Press’ (AP) official odds provider, meaning odds and insights published by the latter will be provided by the former.
Now, BetMGM’s odds will appear on the platform daily, featured in sports odd reports, game previews, as well as any additional sports-related content. As published by the AP, over the course of 2023, the news platform had 44.2 million monthly users and 155.9 million monthly page views.
Commenting on this partnership, BetMGM Chief Revenue Officer Matt Prevost said: “It is a special opportunity for BetMGM to align with The Associated Press, a leading global news source that billions around the world rely on for the most up-to-date coverage. Being a trusted resource within that forum is an important connection to expand our reach, and we look forward to providing content that enhances the organization’s coverage.”
This is not the first deal of its kind brokered in recent years, as back in 2021 FanDuel also signed an exclusive content deal with the AP. However, AP officials have confirmed that this deal has now reached its conclusion.
Barry Bedlan, Director of Global Text and Commercial Products at AP, also spoke on the new collaboration, saying: “People want trustworthy sports betting information, and we are pleased to work with BetMGM to provide a dependable and credible reference point for our customers and audiences.”
Earlier this week, BetMGM also announced the release of a new slot game in partnership with PlayAGS in Michigan.
