Sunday’s Best Euro 2024 Bets: Spain vs. Georgia

Spain vs. Georgia

Spain vs. Georgia is going to get very ugly, very fast. The Spanish side is significantly better than the Georgian side, as shown by the two results during Euro qualifying. Spain defeated Georgia 7-1 in September and 3-1 in November. In the 7-1 match, Spain outshot Georgia 33-5. Spain had 12 shots on goal, while Georgia had only two. The second meeting was slightly more even as Spain outshot Georgia 20-8.

Some may look at Georgia’s performance in the Group Stage and garner some hope for the underdogs. After all, they did beat Portugal 2-0. But Portugal had nothing to play for in that game, which will not be the case for Spain on Sunday. Spain will come out firing. Even if Georgia scores as they have done in each of their last two matches against Spain, Spain will score enough to win by three or more goals.

Bet: Spain -2.5 (+166)

This bet is all reward and very little risk. As we’ve already outlined, Spain and Georgia have met twice since September and Spain has scored 10 goals in those two games. Georgia hasn’t produced many offensive opportunities, but they have managed to capitalize on the few chances they have. They have only taken three shots on goal against Spain since last September, yet they have scored on two of those three opportunities.

Spain opened the competition with a 3-0 win over Croatia. They’ve only scored one goal in each of their two games since. But this is a team that can score at will, especially when they’re significantly better than their opponent. This is a massive mismatch. If Spain wants to, they could score seven goals again.

Bet: Over 4.5 Goals (+420)
