The agreement is aimed specifically at the work taking place at the Rothschild Yard at Palace House, which revolves around the retraining of retired racehorses (RoR). The museum allows visitors to see the former racehorses and discusses ways it helps and cares for the horses, once the animal is in its post-racing career.

Speaking of the partnership, David Thorpe, Chairman of ARC, said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce this partnership and our support of the fantastic work done by the team at NHRM. The Rothschild Yard is a tremendous facility that does an incredibly important job for British Racing in helping to showcase the aftercare that horses receive and really promoting it to the public.

“NHRM is a real asset to the British horseracing industry, and one that we are proud to support and help promote across our racecourses.”

Meanwhile, Anne-Marie Hogan, Director of NHRM, also commented on the agreement, saying: “Our thanks to ARC for this new partnership, which will allow us to continue to promote how well British racing looks after horses after their racing careers have finished.

“Aftercare is something that everyone involved in racing takes seriously and we are glad to be able to continue to showcase that, and the work of RoR in the Rothschild Yard which is one of the Museum’s most popular attractions.”

The news comes before the Cazoo St Leger Festival at Doncaster and the second National Racehorse Week, which takes place across the weekend, starting 10 September.
