DraftKings has announced a new peer-to-peer fantasy sports variant, called Pick6, which will make its debut in six states from today.

Maryland, Minnesota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin will be the first states to have access to Pick6, which is based around “a simple ‘more or less’ mechanic for individual player statistics.”

Like all of DraftKings’ other fantasy variants, Pick6 allows players to compete against each other to win guaranteed prizes.

With this game specifically, a lineup is built, consisting of two to six players from two or more teams, before choosing either more or less for a statistic involving each player in the team.

DraftKings has mentioned additional features that will accompany the core gameplay such as “My Picks,” lineup edits, addable funds and real-time performance tracking, which all make up the product interface.

DraftKings’ Chief Product Officer, Corey Gottlieb, said: “For the past decade, DraftKings has defined innovation in fantasy sports.

“Pick6 is the next great example of that innovation — this is a homegrown, peer-to-peer product that taps into our customers’ desire for fun, simple-to-play experiences tied to their favorite athletes. We are excited to give our customers another way to experience live sports by competing against each other.”

Last week, Hacksaw Gaming agreed a partnership with DraftKings to bring its games to New Jersey, which as part of the deal, granting DraftKing users exclusivity to Hacksaw’s first 10 games in the market for the upcoming two weeks.
