Lionel Messi’s Inter Miami are aiming to advance to their second final since the Argentine forward joined the MLS club. After Saturday’s Leagues Cup success, Miami head into the US Open Cup semifinals, where they will face FC Cincinnati, currently the best team in MLS.
Cincinnati lead the Eastern Conference table in MLS with 51 points, 33 points ahead of Tata Martino’s Inter team, who are bottom of the table. So far this season, Cincinnati have never lost two games in a row and to find two back-to-back defeats for the Ohio team, you have to go all the way back to May 2022.
Cincinatti have home advantage on Wednesday evening, taking on Messi and Co. at the TQL Stadium, where they hold an impressive record. Pat Noonan’s side have not lost at home this season, recording 11 victories and one draw.

Cincinatti’s MLS record
The club from Ohio’s MLS record this season is 15 wins, six draws and three losses. All three defeats have come on the road. In the US Open Cup, they have also been strong at home, with a record of 12 wins, four draws and three defeats. In the Leagues Cup, they were eliminated on penalties against Nashville SC, who would later lose in the final to Inter Miami.
