The UFC has announced its partnership with ProhiBet to help strengthen regulatory compliance.

The UFC previously partnered with US Integrity to strengthen its stance on betting integrity and to put a halt to nefarious betting within the promotion. US Integrity is the UFC’s official betting integrity service for all UFC events, including the Dana White Contender series.

ProhiBet is a joint venture between US Integrity and Odds on Compliance.

However, with this partnership, the UFC will use ProhiBet’s notification platform to clamp down on gambling by fighters, employees, officials and coaches. Similar to the NFL, this is with an effort to enforce the UFC policy for fighters and people involved in UFC events, that may attempt to bet on fights.

The notification platform is designed to safeguard sports integrity and adhere to state-specific regulations; therefore the platform will notify the UFC if anyone who shouldn’t be betting is doing so.

Riché T. McKnight, EVP & General Counsel of the UFC, commented: “One of the foundations of UFC’s success is our dedication to embracing regulation and compliance to promote safety and fairness in our sport.

“Our collaboration with ProhiBet is another step towards strengthening our integrity controls by helping us to enforce our anti-gambling policy and support the integrity of our sport.”

Matt Heap, Managing Director of ProhiBet, said: “We are thrilled to partner with UFC – the combination of ProhiBet’s state-of-the-art encrypted data transfer system and UFC’s dedication to upholding the integrity of sports will undoubtedly enhance the transparency and trustworthiness of sports betting activities.”
